Animal Adoption Application

Our adoption application is essential to ensure that potential adopters are suitable and prepared for the lifelong (up to 20 years) responsibilities of pet ownership.  We complete background checks, vet references, personal references and other standard adoption application procedures.

We require 3 personal references. Please let your references know that we will contact them via email.  Failure to provide ALL the necessary information requested for personal references will delay or stop the processing of your application.

Please be patient. The process may take 7 days to complete. We do not consider applications in the order they are received. We try to fit the right animal with the most appropriate home. Please know that your application may be one of many being considered for each animal.  Our adoption counselors, application processors and adoption approval committees are all volunteers. Most of these folks have full-time jobs in addition to their volunteer work. We appreciate your patience.

The decisions that are made regarding approving or declining adoption applications are confidential and FINAL. We do not provide reasons for denial of any adoption or foster application.
