At Fetch Thrift Shop, we LOVE our volunteers! Volunteers make lots of things possible and are integral to our mission. If you have time to lend a hand, please contact us with questions or start the process by completing the application below.

As a volunteer, you can help us create a great shopping experience by:

Sorting through donations
Putting clothes on hangers and on the racks
Placing donations on the sales floor
Rearranging current displays to create visual appeal
Organizing – the back room, displays, clothing racks
Creating displays & vignettes
Testing electronics
Assisting with customers
Light cleaning

Volunteer Liability Waiver

All volunteers must complete a Volunteer Liability Waiver before volunteering at Fetch Thrift Shop. Fill out the form COMPLETELY.

You may either complete the waiver form below by indicating agreement with a digital signature or you may print out the waiver HERE and bring it into the store with you.

Important:

Each volunteer must sign the “Release and Waiver of Liability” before working at Fetch Thrift Shop or any related activities or events. Please complete this form and submit before you begin work. Read this waiver very carefully before you sign.

This Waiver of Liability (the “Waiver”) executed on the day indicated below by the volunteer indicated below in favor of Fetch Thrift Shop , INC, a nonprofit corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, and their directors, officers, employees, and agents (collectively, “Fetch Thrift”). I, the Volunteer, desire to work as a volunteer for Fetch Thrift Store and engage in the activities related to being a volunteer in the retail store and related events and activities.

I hereby freely and voluntarily, without duress, execute this Waiver under the following terms:

1. WAIVER AND RELEASE - I, the Volunteer, release and forever discharge and hold harmless Fetch Thrift Shop and its successors and assigns from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from my volunteer work with Fetch Thrift Shop. I understand and acknowledge that this Waiver discharges Fetch Thrift Shop from any liability or claim that I, the Volunteer, may have against Fetch Thrift Shop with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from my participation at the Fetch Thrift Shop Thrift Store or at related events and activities. I also understand that Fetch Thrift Shop does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide financial assistance or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health or disability insurance, in the event of injury, illness, death or property damage. 2. Insurance - I, the Volunteer, understand that I expressly waive any such claim for compensation or liability on the part of Fetch Thrift Shop beyond what may be offered freely by the representative of Fetch Thrift Shop in the event of such injury or medical expense. 3. MEDICAL TREATMENT - I hereby release and forever discharge Fetch Thrift Shop from any claim whatsoever which arises or may hereafter arise on account of any first aid treatment or other medical services rendered in connection with an emergency during my time with Fetch Thrift Shop. 4. ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK - I understand that my time with Fetch Thrift may include activities that may be hazardous to me, including, but not limited to, sorting through donations received from the general public, loading and unloading donations, placing items on shelves and racks in store, working in pet friendly environment where animals are present, and transportation to and from off site events. I hereby expressly and specifically assume the risk of injury or harm in these activities and release Fetch Thrift Shop from all liability for injury, illness, death, or proper ty damage resulting from the activities of my time with Fetch Thrift Shop. 5. PHOTOGRAPHIC RELEASE - I grant and convey unto Fetch Thrift Shop all right, title, all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by Fetch Thrift and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by Fetch Thrift Shop during my work for Fetch Thrift Shop, including, but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings. 6. OTHER - I expressly agree that this Waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Maryland in the United States of America, and that this Waiver shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland. I agree that in the event that any clause or provision of this Waiver shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Release which shall continue to be enforceable. 7. PETS - I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fetch Thrift Shop and its representatives from any injury or damage caused to myself or to my property, as a result of handling/caring/petting animals which are visiting the store, at events within the premises or at off--site events in which Fetch Thrift Shop is a participant.
